England international centre Leroy Cudjoe is eager to make the 2013 Super League campaign one to remember for Huddersfield.

The Giants started last season in fine fashion under Nathan Brown and only surrendered top spot in May following a 32-12 home defeat to eventual League Leaders' Shield winners Wigan.

Their campaign fell away, form that cost Brown his job with Paul Anderson taking over, with the West Yorkshire side finishing in seventh with 14 wins and 13 defeats.

"I want to make sure I do everything within my power to make next year even better."

The Giants were dispatched at the first time of asking in the play-offs as they suffered a 46-10 loss to Hull FC, although 2012 ended on a high for Cudjoe as he helped England win the Autumn Series against France and Wales.

The 24-year-old played an important part for Steve McNamara's team and following a two-week break the talented centre is back training with his team-mates determined to set the record straight.

"I was ready for a bit of a holiday when my time with England was over," he told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.

"But by the time I'd come home I was already thinking about getting back with the boys for pre-season training.

"I was still buzzing after playing for England, and that time away was long enough for me to re-charge my batteries.

"The body feels great and I really do feel fresher than ever. That means I've been able to come back to training in good time and play a full part.

"Although we (the Giants) finished the Super League season in a pretty disappointing fashion, I still feel 2012 has been a fairly good year for me, particularly after the way it finished with England.

"And I want to make sure I do everything within my power to make next year even better."
