Hull KR have signed full-back Greg Eden on a three-year contract from Super League rivals Huddersfield Giants.
Robins coach Craig Sandercock has been struggling to fill the No 1 shirt since Shannon McDonnell chose to join neighbours Hull and Louis Sheriff moved to Australia.
But in Eden, 22, he has recruited one of the most promising young players in Super League after paying the Giants an undisclosed fee for his services to make him Rovers' eighth signing for next term.
"It was a pretty big decision for me to leave Huddersfield as I thought I was settled there for the next couple of years," said Eden, who made his England Knights debut against Scotland last month.
"Everything happened quickly though and now that it's all been done I'm delighted to be a Hull KR player.
"To know that the club came along and really wanted me on board is a great feeling and I'm looking forward to repaying the faith that Craig has shown in me."
Eden was highly rated at Huddersfield and made 27 appearances last season, with coach Nathan Brown comparing him to Australian great Billy Slater in the past.
