Former St Helens hooker Scott Moore has agreed a two-year deal to join NRL side North Queensland Cowboys.
Moore's most recent Super League stint was a second spell with Huddersfield last season after starting the 2012 campaign with the Widnes Vikings.
Cowboys assistant coach Terry Matterson worked with the 24-year-old during his loan move to Castleford in 2008, and has acted quickly to secure his services.
"Our coaching staff has identified Scott as a player who is very capable of doing well in the NRL," Cowboys football manager Peter Parr said.
"He sees joining the Cowboys as the chance to take his game to even higher levels and we'll do everything we can to ensure that happens.
"We're sure he's going to fit in well here and challenge for a place in our 17 for round one."
Moore becomes the second Super League star to join the Cowboys for the 2013 season after Catalan Dragons full-back Clint Greenshields agreed a 12-month deal.
