Huddersfield Giants are continuing to build for the future after signing teenagers Tyler Dickinson and Canaan Smithies to professional deals.
The 16-year-old forwards, who are both Siddal Community Club products, will play for the Giants' newly-formed Under-19 side in the forthcoming season.
Head of Giants youth performance Peter Riding is delighted the Super League club have been able to retain the duo who he believes have bright futures.
"It's a positive stride towards the future development of the club and we have tracked their progress over the last 24 months through the scholarship programme and noted their development," Riding told the club's official website.
"These are two bright young men who have shown enough promise, the right attitude and commitment to warrant their professional contracts and we look forward to seeing them develop in our academy."
