Danny Brough: To undergo a scan on the injury he picked up at Hull

Huddersfield Giants playmaker Danny Brough will undergo a scan on a suspected adductor strain suffered in the defeat to Hull FC.

Paul Anderson's side bowed out of the Super League play-offs last weekend following a 46-10 defeat at the KC Stadium.

Brough was injured in the game and he could be now be sidelined for anything up to eight weeks.

"Broughy still needs to be scanned, it's been difficult to get him in regarding appointments but he will be done by the latter end of the week," Anderson told the club's official website.

Strain

"The initial thought is that he has a grade two adductor strain which could possibly see him out from anywhere to four to eight weeks.

"We got a message on Sunday during the Hull FC game saying he was tightening up and then literally moments later Jordan Turner ran round him.

"Broughy is one of the quickest things on two legs over an edge so you just knew straight away he wasn't right."

Winger Jermaine McGillvary is due to undergo an ankle operation while shoulder reconstruction is set to rule Luke O'Donnell out until Christmas.

"Jermaine McGillvary will be having an operation on his ankle, Luke George had a hernia operation on Tuesday; Aaron Murphy has to have an operation and won't be back until mid-December whilst Luke O'Donnell needs a shoulder reconstruction leaving him out until Christmas," he concluded.
