Jamie Simpson: Looking to kick-start his career at Easts Tigers

Former Huddersfield Giants utility back Jamie Simpson has joined Melbourne Storm feeder club Easts Tigers for 2012.

Simpson was released by the Giants just 12 months into a three-year contract after an injury-riddled season.

The 25-year-old was limited to just nine Super League appearances after joining from South Sydney.

And Simpson is now hoping a season in Brisbane will help kick-start his career.

"He's trying to find his feet to get back in the NRL again and he's seen our affiliation with the Storm as a good opportunity to do that," Easts coach Troy McCarthy told the club's official website.
