Bradford Bulls’ young centre Sam Wood has confirmed he has been released from the remainder of his contract.

The 20-year-old signed a three-year deal at Friends Provident Stadium last November, however, their relegation meant the West Yorkshire side had the option of releasing him.

Wood, who says he has not yet found a new club for 2015, has loved being part of the Bulls family and wants them to bounce back under head coach James Lowes.

"Sad to have been released from my contract at the end of the season," he wrote on Twitter.

"Been involved for six years with the Bulls and I'd love it. Even the ups and downs!

"Wish everybody involved the best of luck and thank you to the fans for being great with me.

"I don't have a club sorted as of yet, but hopefully something will come my way soon.

"Thanks again everyone at Bradford Bulls and Dewsbury Rams for the opportunity."
