Local businessman Marc Green has completed his takeover of Super League's Bradford Bulls.
The long-running saga over the ownership of the Super League club is finally over after Green finalised his purchase of the Bulls.
Green faced competition from a London-based consortium that included former Bradford player and chief executive Abi Ekoku and Mandy Koukash, wife of Salford chairman Marwan Koukash.
Two local football clubs, Bradford City and Bradford Park Avenue also tabled bids, but administrators opted for Green, who on Wednesday morning met with staff and players in his new role as chairman.
Mr Green has already strengthened the Bulls' senior management team by appointing Steve Ferres as managing director.
The Bulls have been in administration for the past eight weeks and sit at the foot of the table on minus two after a points penalty.
"I am really pleased to have completed the takeover of this fantastic club," said Mr Green, managing director of Leeds-based Safeguard Security Group.
"Bradford Bulls is a major sporting brand in the United Kingdom and I think this has been proven by the sheer volume of national media coverage which the club has received throughout the process of its future being secured.
"I have been working with the Bulls for the best part of six months, prior to this, and I think it is important for the supporters, stakeholders and staff to work towards restoring this club to its former glory."
