The administrators overseeing the saga at Bradford Bulls are thought to have finally chosen which group's proposed purchase of the club will go through.
On Tuesday, Richard Lamb's London-based consortium accepted defeat in their bid to buy the Super League club and subsequent reports suggested Bradford businessman and debenture holder Marc Green will be the club's new owner.
An offer from Mandy Koukash, wife of Salford chairman Marwan Koukash, was also rejected by administrators last week and with Green's company Safeguard Security Group Ltd thought to be the club's biggest creditors, an announcement is expected soon.
Last week, Green issued a statement claiming that had SSG not exercised its powers as debenture holders to appoint an administrator, the club would have been compulsorily wound up by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs.
The Bulls currently sit rock bottom of the Super League having had six points deducted for going into administration on the eve of the season.
