Local restaurant owner Omar Khan claims to have agreed a deal to buy the Bradford Bulls.
New owners could be unveiled on Saturday
The future of Bradford Bulls appears to have been resolved, with local restaurant owner Omar Khan claiming to have agreed a deal to buy the Super League club.
The Bulls have been in administration since June after running into financial difficulties and were in danger of liquidation.
However, the club's administrators and the Rugby Football League have been in serious discussions with three interested parties for the last fortnight.
Now it is thought that Khan and his consortium, which also includes local MP Gerry Sutcliffe, could officially be unveiled as the club's new owners as soon as Saturday.
Khan tweeted on Friday night: "Omar Khan's and Gerry Sutcliffe Save the Bradford Bulls and are the new owners of the club."
Khan is thought to have agreed to pay around £150,000 to secure the Bulls, although it will cost a good deal more to take the club forward.
The RFL also fielded a bid from Bradford Park Avenue football club. Super League (Europe) Ltd's offer to buy the Bulls was also on the table but this was always seen as a last resort.
