Adrian Purtell: Faces six weeks out with muscle injury

Sky Bet

Bradford Bulls have been dealt a blow with the news that Adrian Purtell faces six weeks on the sidelines.

The Australian centre tore his pectoral muscle during the Bulls' 20-12 win over Castleford Tigers at the PROBIZ Coliseum on Sunday.

The victory over the Tigers was the Bulls' first of the season but appears to have come at a heavy cost.

Forward James Donaldson was also injured during the match and will see a specialist on Monday to discover the full extent of a knee problem.

There is some good news on the injury front for Bulls boss Mick Potter in the shape of Keith Lulia.

The centre is almost back to full fitness following a hamstring injury and could come into the side in place of Purtell in Sunday's clash with Wigan.
