London Broncos head coach Joey Grima has confirmed prop Josh Cordoba will join the club for next season.

The 30-year-old Australian played under Grima in the NRL and will provide depth to the front row options as the relegated Broncos seek to return to the top flight at the first time of asking.

Grima said: "Josh Cordoba is an important signing for us. I've been fortunate enough to coach Josh both at the Eels and Sharks.

"With the professionalism he trains with and the integrity he plays with on the footy field, he's going to be someone that will lead us around the park. With him and Nick Slyney in the front row it gives us such a great foundation.

Successful

"Josh brings over a wealth of experience, not only as a rugby league player but as a mature person. He'll be an asset to our club particularly in our cultural direction."

Cordoba added: "As soon as I heard Joey Grima had taken over as coach, I told Ray Nasso to give him my number and call me and within an hour he called me. I couldn't be any happier playing under Joey.

"We spent a couple of years at Parramatta where we were fairly successful, winning a couple of competitions. That's probably one of the main reasons why I wanted to come. I'd like to be part of something and I know what Joey can do as a coach - not only as a coach but in running a club and setting up the way a club should be run."

Grima has already secured the services of Liam Foran, Ray Nasso and Daniel Harrison for next year.
