London Broncos have signed prop forward Maxime Herold from French club Limoux on a short-term deal.
The 24-year-old was recommended to new coach Joe Grima by former London player Karl Temata, who currently coaches Limoux in the French Elite One Championship.
Grima, who offered Herold an initial four-week contract, said: "He's a front row forward who came over on Monday.
"Tony Rea (former head coach) and I believed that he would be beneficial to the club moving forward. He seems a good size, is well paced and has good skill levels.
"He had his first training session with us on Tuesday and has fitted in really well, apart from the language barrier. He did everything I asked of him."
Herold could be in line for his first run-out for the Broncos in the home match against Huddersfield at The Hive on Saturday.
