London Broncos have confirmed that centre David Howell suffered a broken arm in the Super League defeat to Widnes on Sunday.

Howell was injured during the second half of the clash with the Vikings at Twickenham Stoop and was taken to hospital, where the extent of the problem was confirmed.

No timetable has yet been set for the return of Howell, who is now in his sixth season with the London-based side.

Fellow Australian Craig Gower was forced out of the clash in the first half and will work with physiotherapists during the week, but the club say his injury "doesn't look too serious".

Meanwhile, Widnes have revealed half-back Danny Craven suffered a fractured right collarbone during his side's 28-14 win. The 21-year-old will have surgery this week and is set to be out for 12 weeks.
