Leeds Rhinos have clarified their position on hooker Paul McShane, who is available for transfer but has not been released.
The Rhinos issued a press statement on Saturday that McShane's request to leave the club had been granted.
But they later issued a clarification, making it clear a fee would be required to sign the 23-year-old.
A statement said: "Leeds Rhinos have announced that they have agreed to hooker Paul McShane's request to be transfer listed by the club."
McShane, who came through the Rhinos Academy, has made 63 appearances for the club, including 24 in Super League last season - he only lost his place towards the end of the campaign and was dual registered with Hunslet.
He has also played on loan for Hull FC and the Widnes Vikings.
