Leeds chief executive Gary Hetherington insists the Super League champions remain in the hunt for a 'quality' signing for the 2013 season.

The Headingley Carnegie club have signed Mitch Achurch from the Penrith Panthers for next season while they have also been linked with a move for Salford centre Joel Moon.

Leeds have lost former New Zealand international Brent Webb to the Catalan Dragons while Shaun Lunt has returned to Huddersfield following his loan spell.

Young Player of the Year Zak Hardaker switched from centre to full-back with distinction and Hetherington insists the Rhinos are not necessarily looking to bolster their No.1 options.

"We are still looking to bring in a quality player, effectively a replacement for Brent Webb, but not necessarily in the same position."

"We are still looking to bring in a quality player, effectively a replacement for Brent Webb, but not necessarily in the same position," Hetherington told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

"Clearly Zak Hardaker has shown his ability at full-back and the fact he can play extremely well there as well as in the centre and on the wing is a good string to his bow and a great asset to the team as well.

"We are looking for a quality player who will enhance our squad, but it is difficult because our standards are so high.

"Our policy is to bring in quality players at all levels and if the right man emerges, we have the ability to move on that, but a lot of our focus now is on 2014.

"We know some of our players won't be going on forever, but in terms of the longevity of this squad there is no question all of our players will be fit and able for 2013.

"If we can add to it great, but we are not in a panic situation and we don't feel there are any particular areas where we are weak."
