Leeds Rhinos second rower Brett Delaney is expecting fireworks when the champions meet Wigan on Friday for a place in this year's Grand Final.

Brian McDermott's Rhinos are 80 minutes off an Old Trafford return after beating the Catalan Dragons last Friday, but standing in their way are the League Leaders' Shield winners.

Wigan have already got the better of Leeds in their two Super League meetings this season, including a humiliating 50-8 home defeat at Headingley Carnegie in June.

"It's a big task going to Wigan but we went to Catalan and did the job," said the Australian. "Hopefully we can build on that and bring it with us on Friday night.

"We've got a lot of experienced, big-game players and we just click when it comes to September. We want to be at Old Trafford again. I can't wait to get out there, there will be fireworks definitely."

Leeds will be without suspended playmaker Danny McGuire for the trip to the DW Stadium and the squad are eager to return to Manchester so the club's long-serving player can play again this season.

"We're disappointed not having Mags there," he continued. "He is obviously a big part of our team and it would be great for us to win it and get another crack at a Grand Final with him.

"We're a tight-knit group and we're all heading in one direction."
