Hull captain Andy Lynch has hailed the 'driving' influence of new signing Gareth Ellis on his team-mates.
The England second row has completed his third week of training with his new side after joining on a three-year-deal from Australian outfit Wests Tigers, where he spent the past four seasons.
The former Wakefield Trinity Wildcat and Leeds Rhino, with whom he won the Super League, has given his new club a real lift, says Black and Whites skipper Lynch.
He told the Hull Daily Mail: "It's great having 'Gaz' around and he's made his presence felt already.
"People sit up and listen to him when he talks because of his experience and because of where he has been playing the last few years.
"You know if you are on the field and find yourself alongside Gaz, then you have to keep up with him because he's one of the fittest guys out there.
"You have to try and match his levels and even better him, and that drives you on."
