New signing Andy Lynch has been named as the captain of Hull FC for the 2012 season.
The former Bradford prop has been chosen by new head coach Peter Gentle to lead the Black and Whites through the upcoming Super League season.
The 32-year-old, who moved to the KC Stadium for an undisclosed fee during the close season, was revealed as the skipper at a fans' forum on Wednesday evening.
Gentle has appointed veteran half-back Richard Horne as the new vice-captain ahead of a season which start with a home clash against Warrington on Sunday February 5.
Previous Hull captain Craig Fitzgibbon retired last season after suffering a serious ankle injury.
