Warrington forward Garreth Carvell has revealed he broke a rib during 30-16 Saturday's Grand Final defeat to Wigan at Old Trafford.
The 32-year-old former England prop defied the injury to finish the match and only discovered the extent of the problem after going for X-rays this week.
"Thought it was a bit uncomfortable," Carvell tweeted.
Carvell was playing his final game for the Wolves after agreeing a move to Bradford for next season.
His injury rekindled memories of team-mate Paul Wood, who played on in last year's Grand-Final against Leeds and only found out he had suffered a ruptured testicle hours after the final whistle.
