Weller Hauraki and John Bateman have been handed Grade B charges after being sent off at the AJ Bell Stadium on Easter Monday.

Salford second-rower Hauraki, and his Wigan counterpart Bateman, were dismissed two minutes from time after trading punches during the Super League match.

The pair had already been sin-binned following an earlier flare-up and, if found guilty, the charges carry a one or two- match suspension.

And Hauraki could face an even longer ban after being slapped with a Grade C charge, by the Rugby Football League's match-review panel, following an incident at Huddersfield on Good Friday.

His Salford team-mate Josh Griffin faces a Grade A charge, while Stevie Ward of Leeds, Wakefield’s Nick Scruton and Huddersfield’s Joe Wardle face Grade A, B and B charges respectively.

Ward, Scruton, Wardle and Bateman have until 11am on Wednesday to submit early-guilty pleas while Hauraki will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Wednesday evening.
