Wakefield threequarter Reece Lyne has signed a new three-year contract at the Wildcats.
The former England academy international, 21, had over a year left on his current deal but has chosen to extend his stay at Wakefield until the end of 2017.
"I'm really excited," said Lyne, who joined the Wildcats from Hull 18 months ago. "I had a year left and I'm grateful to Rich (Agar) for bringing me here. It's been the most enjoyable part of my career."
Wakefield coach James Webster, who succeeded Agar six weeks ago, said: "It's fantastic news that Reece wanted to extend his deal with us.
"He had a lot of interest from other places and realistically, you need to look at what Reece has done at the age of only 21. He's only going to get better."
