Justin Poore: Facing ban over punch at Wigan
Wakefield forward Justin Poore will face an RFL hearing on Tuesday after being charged with punching during the defeat at Wigan.
The Australian front-row was sent off after 10 minutes at the DW Stadium by referee Robert Hicks for hitting Warriors second rower Liam Farrell.
He has been charged with a Grade B offence by the Match Review Panel.
Poore was not eligible to submit an early-guilty plea after he was sent off, also for punching, in the Wildcats' Boxing Day friendly at Leeds, which was his first game on English soil.
Wigan made the most of their man advantage to claim a 44-24 win and move back to the top of the Super League table.
The MRP also issued a formal caution to Salford City Reds half-back Theo Fages for a dangerous contact offence during the clash against Widnes Vikings on Sunday.
