Wakefield continued their build-up to the 2013 Super League season with a 38-10 victory over Featherstone in their friendly at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
Wildcats coach Richard Agar named a strong side and they dominated from the kick-off against the Championship outfit, scoring five of their seven tries in the first half.
New Australian prop Justin Poore made a storming start on his home debut and powered his way over for the opening try although he was replaced before the break after suffering a cut.
Ali Lauitiiti crossed from close range for the second try and Ben Cockayne then sped over before setting up Peter Fox for the try of the game.
Reece Lyne added a fifth touchdown shortly before the interval with Paul Sykes slotting his fourth successful conversion to make it 28-0.
The second half was much tighter after a number of changes at the break and it was the visitors who finally opened their account with the next try through Ian Hardman.
Lyne then went over for his second try in the corner before James Lockwood added another score for Featherstone.
Isaac John and Matty Wildie both entered the fray for Wakefield in the second half and the latter completed the scoring in the closing stages.
