Greg Eden: Heading for Salford on loan
Salford Red Devils have signed full-back Greg Eden from Super League rivals Hull KR for a month.
The Castleford-born player scored for Rovers in their 37-24 defeat by the Catalan Dragons on Easter Monday on his first Super League outing for more than a month because of a broken toe.
Eden has scored a try every other game in his domestic career, which started with his home town Tigers in 2011 before a move to Huddersfield.
During his stay with the Giants, Eden was tabbed 'the British Billy Slater' by coach Nathan Brown but he left the club at the end of the 2012 season and joined Rovers, for whom he has scored twice in six outings this year.
Eden will challenge Jake Mullaney for playing time at full-back and he could make his debut in the Challenge Cup clash with Widnes Vikings on Sunday.
Earlier this week, the Red Devils extended their loan deal with Wigan for hooker Logan Tomkins to the end of the season.
