Salford owner Marwan Koukash has poured cold water on speculation the Red Devils' big-name close-season signing Rangi Chase has been battling off-field problems.
The former Castleford Tigers man has not been able to play for Brian Noble's side since suffering a leg injury in their season-opening victory over Wakefield Wildcats.
Salford come into this weekend's clash against the unbeaten Tigers on the back of three straight defeats and Koukash is hopeful Chase will make his long-awaited return.
Set to return
Chase was suspended by the Tigers in June 2012, however, Koukash insists the 27-year-old playmaker is 'fine' and set to return to action.
"I have heard these nasty rumours and they are not even worth talking about," he told MEN Sport.
"He is perfectly fine and looking to be back playing again this Sunday. Rangi has been injured and has been working very hard to return."
