St Helens Captain Paul Wellens and prop forward Anthony Laffranchi could miss their side's derby clash against Wigan due to suspension.

Both players were charged on Monday with dangerous tackles during Saints' 28-16 win at Warrington last Friday.

The Rugby Football League's match-review panel cited the pair with grade B offences, which carry a ban of one or two matches. They have until 11am on Tuesday to enter early guilty pleas.

The panel has also charged Bradford Bulls forward John Bateman with a grade C dangerous tackle during his side's 24-18 defeat at Hull.

Batemen however, is unable to enter an early guilty plea due to his previous record and must therefore appear before the RFL's disciplinary committee to discover his fate, which could be a maximum three match a suspension.

The panel also issued a caution to Wakefield forward Andy Raleigh for kicking out in the tackle during his side's 36-0 defeat at London Broncos.
