St Helens have agreed a new two-year contract with goalkicking winger Jamie Foster.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a phenomenal first full season in Super League, scoring up 402 points in all matches in 2011 to become the leading scorer.

"I'm really happy to re-sign with my hometown club for a further two seasons," said Foster, who has scored 574 points in 48 games since making his senior debut against Toulouse in the Challenge Cup in 2010.

"I've benefited a lot from the first-team experience that I've gained in my first two seasons in Super League, which has involved me in two Grand Finals already.

Competition

"There's a lot of competition for places in the first team this season and the squad is raring to get playing in our new ground, Langtree Park."

Saints have high hopes for Foster, whose impressive form in 2011 earned him a place in the England Knights squad.

Coach Royce Simmons said: "Jamie is one of the best goalkickers in the world.

"He already has a great amount of first-team experience for a 21-year-old and this new deal gives him the opportunity to continue his progress and development as a wing threequarter.

"He is more than capable of doing this."
