St Helens are confident their first match at the new Langtree Park stadium will go ahead despite storm damage.
The recent gales and driving rain caused a section of roof sheeting to become dislodged with officials taking the decision to close the club shop as a precaution.
Saints, who shared with Widnes in 2011 after leaving Knowsley Road, are due to play their first match against their former landlords on Friday January 20.
"Contractors accessed the site as soon as weather conditions allowed and they have now taken steps to make the roof safe," a club spokesman said.
"As a result, supporters will be able to visit the club shop as usual from Thursday morning.
"Work will continue to repair the roof to the highest standard and the programme of events in the run-up to the first match on January 20 against Widnes will continue as planned."
