Huddersfield Giants have confirmed the signing of half-back or hooker Jamie Ellis, who becomes their second recruit from Castleford Tigers.
The 24-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Giants and follows prop forward Craig Huby to the John Smith's Stadium for 2015.
The former St Helens, Hull and Leigh player has made 14 Super League appearances this season and was in the Castleford team that lost to Leeds in the Tetley’s Challenge Cup final at Wembley.
Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson said: "Jamie will give us options. He is a very, very good young player.
"Jamie played more and more in a competitive Castleford side and proved his worth. He will add some depth to the halves position. We showed this year that when we had an injury in those positions we had to move people round and we struggled."
Ellis wants to make the scrum-half berth his own at his new club, which raises a question mark over the future of former Wigan man Luke Robinson.
"Moving to the Huddersfield Giants is a good challenge for me," Ellis said. "When a big club like Huddersfield come in for you, it is a big opportunity and it's one you can't really turn down.
"There is an opportunity to play at scrum-half, my favoured position and I have an opportunity to give it a really good go. I'm 24 and I want to give it a really good shot."
Meanwhile, Huddersfield have announced that scrum-half Jack Miller, 19, and back-row forward Peter Aspinall, 20, have not been offered new contracts.
