Wigan continued their preparations for the new Super League season with a 22-6 victory over Hull KR at Craven Park.

The Warriors fell behind when Blake Green's grubber kick set up an opening try for Robins centre Jake Webster, Craig Hall adding the conversion.

However Shaun Wane's side hit back in emphatic fashion, scoring 22 unanswered points to run out comfortable winners against their top-flight opponents.

They drew level just before the break when full-back Matty Russell accepted Darrell Goulding's offload to go over.

Pat Richards kicked the conversion to make it six apiece and then touched down twice himself in the second half, his first effort coming when David Hodgson failed to deal with Brett Finch's long kick.

Josh Charnley went over in the corner with seven minutes to play before Richards grabbed his second of the afternoon just before the final hooter.

Elsewhere in friendly action on Sunday, a young Leeds side went down 26-18 away to York City Knights, with former Rhino Jordan Tansey making his debut off the bench for the hosts.

Bradford had been due to be in action against Featherstone Rovers but the game at the Bigfellas Stadium was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
