Terry O'Connor reviews Super League round 15, including an impressive win for Hull FC at Warrington...

Warrington 16-26 Hull FC

O'CONNOR SAYS: There have been lots of rumours about Tom Briscoe and whether he will stay at Hull, head Down Under or even move to Super League rivals Leeds. It would be a huge loss for Hull if he moved on. He was prominent in the win over Warrington, scoring one try and kicking five goals. Every time Briscoe gets the ball something special is going to happen.

Richard Whiting is currently Mr Dependable for the Airlie Birds; the only positions he hasn't played is at prop forward and hooker. He is so versatile and adds so much. Hull are playing with confidence - they've only lost one of their last eight games. I think this could be a defining moment in their season. If they can go to Warrington and win, they'll believe they can go far in this competition.

Widnes 22-36 Huddersfield

O'CONNOR SAYS: The Giants lost to Widnes last year but they started really well at the Stobart Stadium and led 30-6 at half-time. Whenever Huddersfield have their hands on the ball, their most influential player is Danny Brough. He's a magician that mesmerises players whenever he runs at the line. He's given England coach Steve McNamara a nudge with this performance.

Larne Patrick impressed when he came off the bench, the big prop forward scoring with his first touch, and another one who's putting his hand up is Brett Ferres. He produced a slick pass to send Aaron Murphy through for a try, made 145 metres and scored two tries. He moved to Huddersfield from Castleford last summer and is living the dream at the minute.

Salford 7-28 Bradford

O'CONNOR SAYS: Brian Noble is looking for players to put their hands up and show they want to be at the club next year. Reds owner Dr Marwan Koukash is already throwing his money around and is reported to have already signed seven players. Salford look better under Noble but one area that needs massive improvement is their defence in the middle of the park. Their completion rate isn't good enough, just 56 per cent. When you're playing against teams and you're low on confidence, you need to make sure you turn the ball over on your terms.

For Bradford, Jarrod Sammut seems to be a player that grabs the headlines all the time. Matty Blythe had been out for a couple of weeks but bounced back with a brace of tries. You know what you get with Blythe. He's a big dangerous player who has great vision for an outside back.

Catalans 39-30 Castleford

O'CONNOR SAYS: Catalans' start to this game was just what Laurent Frayssinous wanted. They put the game beyond Castleford in the first half, surging into a 30-6 lead and scoring some wonderful tries. Vincent Duport's effort was superb, he came onto the ball like a steam train and no one was going to stop him.

The Dragons looked to play the ball wide and give it to Leon Pryce as often as possible. Louis Anderson showed good athleticism to keep his balance and go over for his try. Morgan Escare scored a superb breakaway try - nobody is going to keep up with this youngster when he runs clear. Clint Greenshields went back to Australia at the end of last season but in Escare, they've got a player from the south of France who can come into the side and score tries.

London 6-64 Wigan

O'CONNOR SAYS: Pat Richards was again the star man for Wigan, scoring 28 points. He will be a huge loss to Super League when he moves back to Australia at the end of the season. He is an amazing talent. He came over to England when he was 23 and you just know that if Wigan score a try in the corners, Richards is going to convert those four points into six. He's that good of a goal-kicker and he also brings professionalism off the pitch. Wigan scored 12 tries at the Stoop, with Richards bagging three of them. Liam Farrell produced a superb pass for his third, showing he is the best back-rower in England at the minute.
