The heavyweight duo, who meet in a mouth-watering Sky Live Super League fixture at Headingley on Friday night, were drawn to face each other in the semi-finals on July 31 at Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington.

Saints, who won the cup in three successive years from 2006, were the final team to secure their place in the last four, courtesy of a 36-20 win over Widnes at Langtree Park on Sunday afternoon.

Makeshift full-back Mark Percival scored two of his side's six tries as Saints came from behind, finishing strongly against their tiring opponents, to clinch a first semi-final appearance for four years.

St Helens coach Keiron Cunningham said: "Any tie was going to be tough. If you have any dreams of playing at Wembley, you've got to face tough teams, so we'll take it."

Leeds, meanwhile, were impressive winners over Hull on Friday night.

In the other semi-final, Warrington will take on Hull Kingston Rovers, who are aiming for a first Challenge Cup final appearance since 1986 on August 1 at Headingley.
