Cory Paterson, one game back from a three-match ban, is set for another spell on the sidelines as Salford once more incur the wrath of Rugby Football League's disciplinary chiefs.

The Australian back-row forward has been charged with a grade B offence of striking with the elbow or forearm on Warrington scrum-half Richie Myler during the Red Devils' 34-18 Super League defeat by the Wolves at A J Bell Stadium last Friday.

Paterson, who was last month suspended for an illegal shoulder charge, was also given a formal caution by the RFL's match-review panel for raising his knees in the tackle on Warrington second rower Ben Westwood.

Salford team-mate Adam Walne is also in disciplinary trouble after being charged with two grade C offences of making dangerous contact on Warrington prop Chris Hill in the same fixture.

Paterson was one of four Salford players missing through suspension when Iestyn Harris' men played Hull at the start of the month. Darrell Griffin and Weller Hauraki have since returned to action but Rangi Chase still has one game left of a seven-match ban to serve.

Catalans Dragons hooker Ian Henderson could lose his ever-present Super League record in 2015 after being charged with a grade B offence of making dangerous contact on Wigan second rower John Bateman during his side's 58-16 win over the Warriors in Perpignan on Saturday.

Castleford prop Ryan Bailey has been charged with a minor grade A offence of punching Huddersfield second rower Brett Ferres and, along with Henderson, has until 11am on Tuesday to submit an early-guilty plea.

Paterson and Walne do not have the option of submitting an EGP and will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday evening.
