Hull have called up Australian threequarter Steve Michaels for Thursday's home Super League game against Leeds, four days after he was implicated in a cocaine scandal.

The Queensland Crime and Corruption Commission announced last Friday they had obtained an arrest warrant for the 28-year-old former Gold Coast Titans player as part of their investigation into drugs trafficking.

Hull owner Adam Pearson said the club were dealing with the matter in house and have so far made no public comment.

Michaels, who joined Hull in the close season and made his Super League debut in their round-two game with Warrington, was not due to play against Salford last Saturday but is back in the frame to face the Rhinos.

Coach Lee Radford has also recalled skipper Gareth Ellis, the former Leeds forward who has missed the last two matches with a rib injury.
