Full-back Morgan Escare has signed a new four-year contract with Super League club Catalan Dragons.

The 22-year-old Perpignan-born player has scored 27 tries in as many games for the club this season and has racked up an impressive total of 42 in 44 Super League matches.

Escare told the club website: "I'm really happy and proud to stay at the club. I love the club, it's my hometown club and it's great to commit to a long-term deal with the Dragons.

"I feel really good here and I'm really happy to sign this new contract."

Catalan head coach Laurent Frayssinous said: "It's great news for the club to keep Morgan for the next four seasons.

"He has had an outstanding season so far, he has scored 27 tries in 27 games, which is awesome. He has improved a lot this season, his second in Super League, especially in defence.

"He has to keep his desire to improve and to bring his qualities to the team, both on and off the field."
