Huddersfield hooker Kyle Wood will miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury.

The 25-year-old former Wakefield player, who is one of only two ever-presents for the Giants this season, ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during the 38-16 win over Catalan Dragons on Sunday.

Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson said: "He has been one of our better players this season and has been a good 'go-forward' man for us. It is sad for him and disappointing for the club but we will rally round him and he will be back."

England centre Leroy Cudjoe, who has a hip injury, is also missing for The Giants game at Wakefield on Sunday but Shaun Lunt is expected to return after a calf injury.
