Salford Red Devils' Australian full-back Jake Mullaney has become Bradford's latest signing for their 2015 Championship campaign.

The 24-year-old former Parramatta player was one of 13 signings unveiled by Salford owner Marwan Koukash last September but has not played for them since May and will join the relegated Bulls on a 12-month contract.

"Jake is a real talent and we are looking forward to seeing what he will bring to the team. He has been set back by injuries this season, meaning consistency has been an issue for him."
James Lowes

Mullaney is the second new signing for Bradford coach James Lowes, following the capture of Castleford prop Dan Fleming last week, as he rebuilds his squad.

"I am really looking forward to getting back playing consistently and am excited at the prospect of helping the Bulls make it back into Super League," Mullaney said.

"Bradford is massive club and I was well aware of the success enjoyed here whilst growing up in Australia.

"Back home, the Bulls are regarded as still one of the biggest clubs around and so I am really pleased to be joining.

Strong start

"What I want from here is a strong pre-season with Bradford, giving me the best possible chance of cementing a place in the team next year.

"It is early days at this stage but one thing I can assure the Bulls supporters is that I will be giving everything for the club."

Lowes said: "Jake is a real talent and we are looking forward to seeing what he will bring to the team. He has been set back by injuries this season, meaning consistency has been an issue for him.

"But I am sure he will knuckle down us later this year, when the players start pre-season training, and prove his ability in a Bradford shirt.

"The squad is beginning to take shape but there is still a lot of work going on behind the scenes, as we look to piece things together for 2015 and beyond.

"As the club has already stated, we are hoping to have in place a quality team which will be able to challenge the teams placed in front of us next year."
