Bradford’s new loan signing Danny Williams is hoping to impress at the Bulls and win a long-term stay with the fallen Super League giants.

Williams has been snapped up on a one-month loan from Salford Red Devils by Bradford’s new head coach James Lowes as the West Yorkshire looking to retain their top-flight place.

The winger is primed to make his debut against Catalan Dragons at Provident Stadium and the 27-year-old is looking towards a long-term future with the Bulls.

"I’ve only been here for a couple of days but you can see it’s a great club with a great set of boys. It would be good to be a part of it on a permanent basis but we’ll just have to see how it goes."

Williams knows they face a stern battle against the drop, although he wants to stay on and help them regain their Super League status given the chance if they go down.

“Hopefully I can come here and play well, and if Jimmy likes me then I can stay here long-term,” he told the Telegraph and Argus.

Permanent

“I’ve only been here for a couple of days but you can see it’s a great club with a great set of boys. It would be good to be a part of it on a permanent basis but we’ll just have to see how it goes.

“Bradford are a big club and a big name in the game. Even if they go down, they’re going to bounce straight back up because of the stature of the club. I would be prepared to stick with them no matter what.”

Williams is vying with the likes of Elliot Kear, Luke George and Jamie Foster to start and the experienced try-scorer is up for the challenge.

“Jimmy has put a lot of faith in me to get me in with all the talent they already have in the backs. I appreciate that and have obviously got to reward that faith,” he continued.

“I like to think that if any opportunity comes for me to finish then I will do exactly that. I don’t mind getting involved in the tough carries at the back either.”
