Wigan forward Greg Burke's loan move to Bradford has been ended by a dislocated shoulder.
Burke is facing two months out of action but he will be loaned back to Bradford once he is fully fit again.
Burke, 21, joined Bradford on a month's loan last week but suffered the injury on his debut in Friday's 44-16 defeat at Hull.
"He had it X-rayed at Bradford and nothing showed up but we had it scanned in detail and it's come up with a dislocation so it will be six or seven weeks," Wigan coach Shaun Wane said.
"Then he'll go back to Bradford. It will do him good to do another month somewhere else."
Meanwhile Wane looks set to rest forward John Bateman, despite the fine start he has made to his Warriors career.
The England academy captain, 20, joined Wigan from Bradford in the winter and played in the last two Super League games after making his debut in the World Club Challenge.
Wane believes he was overplayed by Bradford, and does not want to make the same mistake.
"I'm stubborn," Wane said. "He's played really well but he more than likely won't play this weekend because we're going to treat him differently to how he's been treated in the past.
"I said to myself at the start of the year that, no matter how good his form is, he's not going to play many games this year because I want to make sure he's good for next year and the year after and more importantly the year after that.
"I also need to give Jack Hughes some game time, I need to be fair to him."
Wane expects to have skipper Sean O'Loughlin, prop Gil Dudson and centre Darrell Goulding back from injury for the visit of the Robins.
