Michael McIlorum: In hot water
Wigan hooker Michael McIlorum has been charged by the RFL after his tackle broke the jaw of Castleford's Kirk Dixon in their 36-31 defeat on Sunday.
England international McIlorum tackled Castleford's Dixon in the 10th minute of the game, with Dixon later confirmed to have broken his jaw as a result of the challenge.
McIlorum has been given a Grade C charge and has until 11am on Tuesday to submit an early guilty plea. He faces a two-to-three game ban if the charge is validated.
Cas winger Justin Carney has been charged with a Grade A charge of punching after an altercation with John Bateman during the same match.
The Australian has been in trouble with the RFL before and was suspended three times in the 2013 season.
Also charged after the weekend games is Catalan's Louis Anderson, who was given a Grade B tariff for a dangerous throw in his first appearance of the season against Wakefield.
Meanwhile, Salford's Steve Rapira faces a similar charge following dangerous contact against Widnes.
Carney will appear before the RFL on Tuesday with the other two players having the option of submitting an early guilty plea.
