Sean Long is looking for his fifth coaching role in 12 months after his brief spell on the backroom staff of the London Broncos came to an end.

The former St Helens and Great Britain scrum-half joined the Broncos in the close season after their off-field issues were resolved by a move to Barnet.

However, the Broncos say Long was only ever used as a consultant, working one day a week in the capital, and he confirmed on his Twitter account that he has now left the club.

"London Broncos wanted to change my contract to part time," Long tweeted. "Finding that very hard with the travel. Wish the boys good luck for the rest of the year."

Long, who hung up his boots in August 2011, resigned as assistant coach at Salford last April and then had a three-month spell at Wigan before ending the season as football manager at Featherstone.

He was also assistant coach of Samoa in the 2013 World Cup.

London have appointed Australian Joe Grima as the official assistant to head coach Tony Rea.
