Bradford front-row forward Adam Sidlow has given the beleaguered Bulls a boost by agreeing a two-year contract extension.

While coach Francis Cummins waits to discover whether the Bulls will start the season with a points deduction, and if former England prop Garreth Carvell will secure his desired return to Hull, Sidlow has pledged his future to the club with a new deal that will keep him at Odsal until at least the end of 2016.

"I am 100 per cent committed to Bradford," said Sidlow, who joined Bradford on a two-year contract from Salford 12 months ago but missed the last two months of last season with a knee injury.

"Francis has shown a whole load of faith in me and he has enabled me to love playing rugby league again.

"This is such a massive club and it is an honour to play here. Despite what has gone on over the past couple of months, off the field, I would not change a thing. I absolutely love it here.

Delighted

"I would like to think my best years are still ahead of me and I still feel as though I am progressing as a Super League player."

After watching the club make redundancies in the close season and then go into administration, Cummins admitted the good news was especially timely.

"I am delighted for Adam," Cummins said. "He is a towering front-rower with, I believe, a huge future ahead of him.

"He gets better with every game he plays and given the fact he still has a number of years ahead of him, I am extremely excited about having him on board for a further two years.

"Adam is undoubtedly a key figure in our team and I am sure he will become even more integral this season."
