Jason Baitieri has been appointed as co-captain of Catalan Dragons ahead of the forthcoming Super League season.
The 24-year-old back-row forward, who missed the last five months of last season with a knee injury, takes over from the departed Remi Casty.
Baitieri, who was born in Paris, will share the role with long-serving loose forward Greg Mounis.
He has been with the Dragons since the 2011 season after moving from Sydney Roosters and has made 55 appearances for the club so far as well as playing six times for France.
Dragons coach Laurent Frayssinous said: "Both are natural leaders and are very highly respected players within our group.
"They are an example on and off the field and I think they complement each other very well."
The Dragons open their Super League campaign with an away game against Hull on Friday February 14.
