Fiji international playmaker Ryan Millard has joined Rochdale Hornets for the 2014 Championship One season.

Millard, 26, whose older brother Daryl plays in Super League for Catalan Dragons, was at stand-off against England in Group A of the World Cup in November and can also operate at centre and full-back.

Millard, who was linked with a move to London Broncos, played reserve-grade football for St George Illawara and Canterbury Bulldogs and also had a spell in France.

Hornets chief executive Ryan Bradley said: "Capturing Ryan's signature is a major coup for the club and shows our ambition for next season.

"From the moment we sat down with the interested Fijian World Cup players, Ryan was the player we were really keen on."
