Jimmy Keinhorst: Will be spending the season on loan at the Wildcats
Wakefield have signed Leeds duo Jimmy Keinhorst and Luke Briscoe on loan for the 2014 season.
The pair follow former Rhinos Paul McShane and Richard Moore in making the move from Headingley to the Rapid Solicitors Stadium ahead of the new campaign.
"Jimmy and Luke are exciting prospects for the future and the chance to play in Super League this season is a great opportunity for both of them."
German international Keinhorst has made 15 league appearances, making his debut against the Wildcats, while Briscoe is the brother of new Leeds recruit Tom.
Wakefield coach Richard Agar is delighted to add a further two new faces to his squad after the club's financial problems during the winter months forced them to sell several of their prized assets.
"We felt as though we need some competition for places and Leeds have got an embarrassment of riches in the backs which gives Jimmy the chance to come and play first grade and get some experience," he said.
"He's had some good experience so far and played in some big games and whatever level he's played at, he looks like a player who can get you a try.
"Luke is a strong, natural footballer who can play anywhere in the backline and can slot into the back-row if required. He'll add depth to the squad and I anticipate him playing first grade this season."
New St. Helen¿s signing Kyle Amor thinks the team can win a first grand final since 2006.
Rhinos head coach Brian McDermott is happy to let the duo, who he describes as "exciting prospects" go out on a temporary basis to gain top-flight experience.
"Jimmy and Luke are exciting prospects for the future and the chance to play in Super League this season is a great opportunity for both of them," he told the club's official website.
"Jimmy showed last season that he has the ability to play regularly in Super League whilst Luke had a strong game on Boxing Day against Wakefield.
"We will continue to monitor both of their progress throughout the season."
