Castleford have confirmed that stand-off Marc Sneyd is joining from Salford on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old will join the Tigers for the 2014 season as part of the deal that took Rangi Chase to the City Reds.

Sneyd played in all but three of Salford's 29 matches this year and becomes

Castleford's fourth signing this week following the recruitment of Brett Seymour, Luke Dorn and Scott Wheeldon.

Castleford coach Daryl Powell said: "I am really pleased to have signed Marc for next season.

"He is a quality player with the added benefit of an outstanding left-foot kicking game.

"He will add to the depth and quality of our option within the squad moving into next season."
