London Broncos are set to give a Super League debut to half-back Mike Bishay in the opening game of Magic Weekend against Catalan Dragons in Manchester on Saturday.

The 20-year-old, who joined the Broncos' academy from West London Sharks, has been playing on dual-registration with Championship One club Hemel Stags but has been training with the first team.

"It will be brilliant if I make my debut," he said. "It will be such a good experience.

"I've watched the Magic Weekend quite a few times and I've always wanted to play there.

"I've been training for the last year and a half full-time but it's been worth the wait. I've just got to wait for my chance to come and hopefully take it with both hands."

The Broncos' clash with the Dragons kicks off the Magic Weekend action at Manchester City's Etihad Stadium at midday on Saturday, the first of four matches at the venue that day.
