Mickey Paea: Could be returning to NRL
Hull KR prop Mickey Paea says he is considering a return to the NRL at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old former Sydney Roosters, St George Illawarra and Canterbury Bulldogs - whose contract ends this year - has been linked with Wigan who need a replacement for Parramatta-bound Lee Mossop.
Rovers have offered Paea a new deal - thought to be two years - but he admits that talking to former Hull FC front rower Sam Moa left him considering a return to Australia.
Fellow Tongan international Moa made a successful return to the NRL with the Roosters after leaving Hull at the end of last season.
"I'm open to all options at the moment," said Paea.
"Sam has been one of the best props back home for the Roosters. He was over here for five years and, like me, he improved over here.
"He went back a better player and he has definitely inspired me to go back and have another crack.
"I've got to do what is the best for me and my family. I would love to go back to Australia and I often watch the NRL.
"Nothing has been decided yet but hopefully something will be sorted out in the next month."
