Wigan's out-of-contract winger Anthony Gelling has been ruled out for up to three months with a broken collarbone.
The Cook Islands international was injured in the 46-6 victory against Salford and scans have confirmed the extent of the damage.
Gelling, who is hoping to press his claim for a new contract, was returning from a knee injury in Friday's match.
Wigan coach Shaun Wane also fears a shoulder injury scrum-half Matty Smith picked up in the same game could also be troublesome.
"We won't know the extent of Matty's shoulder problem until the swelling goes down," he said. "We'll have a better idea later in the week.
"But Gells will probably be out for about 14 weeks. It's a blow for him but he will come back stronger and, in the meantime, it provides an opportunity for someone else."
